This company has made my life a living he$&! I had spent hours on the phone with the representative Kayla and trusted her information about the company without having done proper research due to time constraints. I secured them with a deposit after a negotiated agreement of around $1823 ($523.00 deposit, $650 due at pickup, and $650 due at drop-off). The pickup date was set for Sat. June

27th, 2020. A few days prior they were supposed to call to do a final inventory. I realized I had more boxes and called a few days prior to get a re-quote. Kayla had told me people do that all the time and it would be no big deal. No one ever called back and so when the day before pickup arrived, now the Inventory Manager was very upset that I had to get the quote and then undo it because he was trying to charge me another $1200 for some extra boxes. He was very rude and argumentative to the point where I was very uncomfortable and hung up. I called and asked to speak to someone else and told them what happened and they sent me to him again. I tried again until I got a Customer Service Manager named Holly. I let her know what happened and she was very empathetic and apologetic and said she'd make sure the contract was edited back to the original amount of $1823. This never happened. We've made dozens of calls over the few weeks about various things and never got calls back. The day they came to pick us up (which was a day late) we were now rushed because we still had to drive 6 hrs, and so I was rushed signing the paperwork then realized by page 3 the higher incorrect total. The driver said they would need to call me to sort it out. It never happened. They never delivered my stuff and hung up on me when weeks later I asked what was going on. They pretended they would bring my stuff a couple more times and it still never arrived. They've continued to try and extort us for more money and won't let anyone speak on my behalf to resolve this. They emailed us a month ago stating it was in local storage and we didn't need to pay anything but just pick it up before it's auctioned off, but the storage facility doesn't have my stuff. I put a claim dispute for the deposit because of the breach of contract, and a month later they used the signed documents from the pick-up with the false amounts as proof and reversed the claim causing my bank account to be overdrawn $250. I now have to borrow rent, bills, and other funds. I still don't have my belongings nor do I know where they are. My SS card and other important documents are among these boxes causing even more issues now. I never wanted my items in storage, It was to be delivered in 2-7 days from a temp-controlled truck. It's not my fault they didn't secure the drivers. Then they jerked us around for the past 4 months! I've been locked out of my original contract for months also. They are saying we owe $1800 to the storage company for 4 months of storage we never asked for after sending the email that we don't owe anything and just to pick it up. We called the storage places they claimed my belongings were and there was no record of anything under my name. It took me two years to finally post my drafted review here. I still to this day never received my belongings nor did I receive any compensation.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $1823

They company fraudlently charged additional fees for services they did not provide. I was charged an "origin" fee at the last minute do to additional items that they would not let me add on until 2 days before the move. The reasoning for this extra $500 charge, paid directly to Alliance, was because they needed to send an empty truck. On moving day a half full truck came and they strapped items to the outside of it. Alliance did nothing to help with this, they work with sketchy companies and will provide no asisstance or take responsibility for the services not provided that they charged for.

I contacted company to see if they could set up my move on 03/21/202. This was last minute on 03/20 and I was sent a letter stating move would take place 03/21/202. If I had been told no I would have contacted another company because apartment contract expired 03/21 needed to be out that da. received a call at 8:30 am EST saturday 03/21 stating they would arrive 03/22 between 3 - 5 pm I advised that was too lat. the subcontractor more myself could get in touch with the company I left message advised I was cancelling the move and getting another compan. They wont refund deposit ever though they weren't going to arrive on the move date indicated.

Lies cost us over $1200! Alliance was great - in the beginning. Then it all came apart. They had us sign a binding estimate, guaranteed us a pick up date (dates), said they would disassemble furniture, place it on the truck, and even weigh it as neesed to get reimbursed by the Army: and the price was affordable. I was ecstatic, as was my husband because I had been sent to NY during the COVID crisis and we hired them to make our move easier.

Then the day came for us to move, and the company they subcontracted to move our stuff showed up at 630pm (after business hours), didn’t break anything down, loaded the truck, and said we were over our allotted footage, and stated they were going to charge us $1200 more for the extra space and fuel (for.

I needed to get my aunt out of her apartment quick. She had lots of antiques and art that needed to be packed carefully. These guys did their best to fit us in with all of our crazy demands. Alliance Moving & Storage sent an awesome crew over and came in under the estimate. Everyone I dealt with, from the person in the office making the appointment, to the foreman and 2 man crew that got the job done, were all extremely helpful, courteous and professional. I honestly couldn't have been happier.

Move size: 3 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4400

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! They were a NO-SHOW on the day of my move and it's been almost 3 weeks and I still haven't received my refund! And now, every time I call them they put me on hold and then they just hang up. If I do manage get thru to someone they have an attitude, they tell me my refund has been "processed", but can't say whether or not it's been mailed to me (why the hell are you mailing me a paper check anyway - I paid you electronically and I should get a refund in the same manner). Shady shady shady! They are just a dispatch company that outsources moving/transport of your goods to other shady third-party companies. And when things go wrong, they will leave you hanging.

Long story short - I called several companies to get quotes for my move from DC to Cali and I decided to go with Alliance Moving & Storage because I felt their quote was fair and they seemed to have a good handle on things (even though the 5% they charge you to use a debit/credit card is ridiculous). So, I booked a flight and hotel to go all the way back to DC from California to be there for the 2-day window they gave me for the move. I called them several times as the 2-day window approached to make sure they had all details correct and that everything was on track. My storage unit closes access at 10pm and I knew if he didn't show up on time, the move wouldn't happen. They assured me every time that things were fine. Fast forward to the day of the move, they told me the driver would arrive between 11am-2pm. This is also how I learned that they outsourced the move to Boost Express Van Lines. Around 2pm I started to get texts from the Boost driver saying he was 35 minutes away and would be there soon. He even sent me fake screenshots of Google Maps showing he was 35 mins away. At 4pm, still no show and he stopped replying to texts and wasn't answering the phone. I called Alliance and spoke with several reps and they kept saying the driver is on his way, etc. At 6pm, still no driver and I couldn't get in touch with anyone at Alliance. He finally decided to answer his phone and was saying he wasn't sure he'd make it. And when I called him out for lying to me all day, his response was "we'll give you a discount". By 8pm he still didn't show, and I emailed every contact I had for Alliance requesting my refund - no one ever responded. I've been calling every week and still don't have my money back. I'm getting the runaround. All of this has been absolutely disheartening, on top of all the extra stress that comes with moving during a pandemic. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had with any company. How do you drop the ball and then act like I'm annoying you by asking for my money back? You took my money without hesitation, but now you're fumbling around refunding me even though you dropped the ball. The way they handled this whole thing is horrible. Their customer service is really unprofessional and I regret doing business with them.

I contacted this company and talked to their sales rep Daniel Snyder about scheduling a move from IL to TX and said I needed items to be picked up on 7-31-20 or by 12pm on 8-1-20. Daniel the rep said yes that could be done. I called that Friday on 7-31-20 3 times because I had not heard from their dispatch. On 8-1-20 when I called again I was told there was no driver and no pickup scheduled! This company screwed me over and lied to me about saying my items could be picked up! I had to email everyone for getting my deposit back. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE SERVICE!! STAY AWAY.

I used Alliance Moving & Storage this past weekend and I couldn't be happier! Melvin, Tony & Lee were professional, efficient, friendly and a pleasure to work with. They moved my one bedroom apartment from one apartment building to the next in just over two hours, and nothing was broken! Prices were affordable, much lower than anyone else I received quotes from. They made moving as painless as possible, and I'll definitely be recommending them to my friends!

Moving with good Alliance was a pleasant experience from start to finish Robert quoted us a great price lower than anything else o found and price remained the same after delivery. No hidden fees, taxes or any bs. Was nervous since this was a big move (New Jersey to Florida) but the two young men sent couldn’t have been any more professional. Showed up right on time for pick up and drop off and super polite and efficient. Most importantly my items showed up safe and sound without any damage. I couldn’t recommend Alliance any more!

I used Alliance Moving & Storage this past weekend for my move and I couldn't be happier! Lewis, Tony & Chris were pleasure to work with. This is a broker company, Frank Jackson took my call, asked me for a room by room inventory, gave a quote and asked for a 40% deposit which I paid with credit card + a 5% fee, 30% would be paid at pick up and 30% at delivery, I was told all could be paid by card.

Moving company came the following day, they asked to be paid for 1/2 of the move to start packing, red flag!! but I had not option I needed to leave my rental so I issued a check. They said the other half should be paid at delivery.

Fast forward, I hear from the moving company that my remaining balance is half of the quote, my DEPOSIT IS THE BROKER FEE, I call Alliance customer service I got treated very poorly, I contacted Frank Jackson to get clarification on my quote (which I have in an e-mail) I hear less than crickets.

In short I'll end up paying 40% more than my quote, which by the way wasn't cheap I paid a similar amount moving in so I have a fair real reference.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4800

My husband and I hired a moving broker (Alliance Moving and Storage), who in turn, hired PackRite Movers to handle our long-distance move. We were quoted a price based on the cubic footage of our items (~1200 cu. ft.) and were told to expect a minor increase based on our actual items. We were also instructed to deposit 1/3 of the total cost before services are rendered, which amounted to $1229.80. On moving day, PackRite Movers arrived with a 26-foot moving truck, which we later learned can only have a maximum capacity of 1700 cubic feet (per the Penske website). The Forman counted our items and estimated 1400 cubic feet before loading. This seemed reasonable, so we allowed him to proceed. When he was finished loading, he told us that it was 1800 cubic feet (despite the moving truck being 2/3 full), and he charged us additional packing materials, which were supposed to be free of charge (with some exception noted in Alliance Moving and Storage's contract). The Forman on delivery even admitted that there was an additional 300 cubic feet of another person's belongings in the truck, but he would not allow me to take photographs. My husband didn't know any better (I was not present at the time), and since we were at risk of losing our large deposit, and we absolutely had to move that weekend, we had no choice but to sign the contract. We were assured that we could submit a claim to their customer service department to rectify the issue. On delivery, we paid the additional $1932 in cash as we were directed, and I submitted a detailed claim by PDF and by mail to PackRite Mover's customer service department. I provided photographs of the moving van, its licence plate, and our items to ensure proof that we were overcharged. I also provided a full copy of the contract. PackRite Movers has dismissed my claim on the grounds that I signed the contract on moving day. I feel this is an unacceptable response.

Not mentioned in my claim were the three pieces of broken particle board furniture, which have survived four full moves when I pack them myself. They are not part of my claim because PackRite Movers forces you to sign a contract that waives them of any responsibility if these items are broken.

Even if I do not receive a refund, it is my hope that this business is made to stop taking advantage of customers. I did not hire this company, and I would never hire this company based on customer reviews. (The Better Business Bureau even gives them an F-rating.) I was forced to use them because of the moving broker, Alliance Moving and Storage. It is my hope that Alliance Moving and Storage is made aware of these actions and that they think twice before hiring PackRite Movers again.

To anyone considering a moving broker: Don't hire one. They do not communicate effectively with the movers (we had numerous issues not mentioned here), and they put all responsibility on the movers. I work with contractors and subcontractors daily, and this type of service is unheard of. The contractor always takes responsibility for the subcontractor's actions, because they are the ones that hired them. Alliance Moving and Storage selected the cheapest mover, despite them having an F-rating and 1-star customer reviews everywhere.

I repeat, DO NOT HIRE PACKRITE MOVERS OR ALLIANCE MOVING AND STORAGE. You will be scammed, and be warned: https://www.alliancemoving.co/ is not the same company as http://www.alliancemoving.com/. This is not an error; it is a deliberate attempt to make you think they have a 5-star rating when they do not!! Despite making a complaint to the BBB, I will likely not get any money back.
